Gore'08 Delta Poll: Update

Hi,

since myDD's July straw poll (http://www.mydd.com/poll/1121207247_AJcwWLRf) did NOT include Al Gore, I posted a "Gore'08 Delta Poll" where people can vote for Gore and/or retract their previous vote for other potential candidates. This Delta-poll is in this diary of mine:
http://www.mydd.com/story/2005/7/13/103215/913

At 6pm, with 79 votes cast (the diary lasted only a couple of hours on the frontpage), Al Gore's support was: 69% FOR and 31% AGAINST. It is evident from the delta-poll that Al Gore should be considered a well-sought potential candidate and be included in straw polls such as the current one at myDD.

If you like Al Gore or otherwise, but haven't voted in the delta-poll, please go and vote:

Thanks,
Neo

Could you please elaborate on the "just barely" part? I will preface it with a partial prebuttal:

  1. Al Gore was one of the most active and positively contributing vice presidents of all time.

  2. Eventhough he didn't "invent the internet", he was one of its primary promoters in its pre-populous days (remember the "information superhighway" phrase?)

  3. He cares deeply about the environment.

  4. He presided over as a VP about the most fiscally responsible federal govt.s ever.

This sentiment, I understand. I wish he ran in 2K4 and picked Dean as his r.m. Although I thought about this ticket way back in Nov/Dec'03, I didn't followup on it, and before we knew it, Dean screamed his way out of the race, alas!
